Meet Teddi👋

This week we are chatting to Teddi, a local Tunbridge Wells mum who shares her favourite places around town and the little things that help make mum life easier.

Introduce yourself

Hi, I’m Teddi — a 23-year-old mum to my wonderful (and slightly chaotic!) little boy.

I run a natural cosmetics brand called @Mabystoreofficial work as a freelance photographer under @framedbyted, and I also host a girls’ club where we organise monthly mum meet-ups @mabygirlsclub with lots of exciting things in the works. It’s something I genuinely love being part of.

Favourite local business and why?

My favourite local spot has to be Ruby’s of London — a fully plant-based café with the most incredible menu. Ruby herself is often there, and her and the team are always so warm and welcoming. The atmosphere is just lovely every time.

Favourite hidden gem in Tunbridge Wells

A hidden gem I adore is the orchard in Grosvenor & Hilbert Park. It’s so peaceful and dreamy — perfect for a spring or summer picnic.

What’s your guilty pleasure?

My guilty pleasure is definitely shopping… I have a bit of an obsession with charity shops and Vinted. Finding second-hand gems makes me ridiculously happy. And I’ll happily rewatch the same comfort series ten times over without getting bored.

Best mum hack

My best mum hack? Give them a “yes” version of what they can’t have — like an old remote or an empty bottle. Or pack a little bag with random bits and toys. It’s saved me more times than I can count over the past couple of years
