Meet Rose đź‘‹

This week we’re chatting with Rose, a local Tunbridge Wells mum who shares a little about life with children, her favourite places locally, and the small habits that help her stay balanced in the chaos of mum life.

Introduce yourself

Hi, I’m Rose — mum to two beautiful, bubbly girls aged 6 and 8. Working as a children’s physio (@childrensphysiotw) has shown me that supporting a child often means supporting the whole family too. When we come together, we create these little ripples of positivity, laughter, and lightness that help everyone at home feel more connected and supported.

With this in mind, I created Release with Rose (@release_with_rose). Through my own journey, I discovered a simple yet powerful practice that transformed the way I connect with both myself and my clients. I now share this through The Five Rs — a gentle framework designed to guide us back to balance, presence, and wholeness.

I offer local group sessions combining sound and breathwork to support nervous system regulation, help restore balance, and gently manage the day-to-day stresses of life. I’m also excited to be expanding into sound baths for children, creating space for little ones to relax, reconnect, and reset too.

Favourite local business and why?

St Kilda in Tunbridge Wells is my favourite local cafe — mainly because their breakfast burrito is delicious. It’s so good! Add in great coffee and such a friendly, welcoming vibe, and it’s just my go-to spot every time and with my family.

Favourite hidden gem in Tunbridge Wells

Hidden away in Hargate Forest is my favourite little spot — two trees growing together like they’re sharing a hug. I always feel such a deep sense of peace and calm when I’m here. Being among the trees is so grounding, and it’s even more magical knowing they release natural scents (phytoncides) that help our bodies relax.

What’s your guilty pleasure?

Definitely watching videos of babies laughing hysterically — I can’t help but laugh along! I’ve got a soft spot for slapstick humour too, like silly physical comedy. On hectic days, even just a few minutes of that kind of pure, silly laughter totally lifts my mood and reminds me not to take life too seriously.

Best mum hack

Waking up before my children do. It started with just 10 minutes… and somehow became 2 hours! (Yes, very early mornings — but also very early bedtimes).

Having this quiet time to myself helps me show up as the best version of me each day — calmer, more patient and more grounded. My routine usually starts with breathwork and meditation, then an ice bath, a quick HIIT session to warm up and finishes with some gentle yoga stretches.

I always set a simple intention for how I want to show up that day and remind myself every morning:“How I live each day is how I live my life.”

I really encourage you to give it a try — even just waking up 10 minutes earlier can make such a positive difference to how your whole day feels.
