Meet Elle👋

This week we’re chatting with Elle, a local mum sharing her favourite things about Tunbridge Wells and her advice for other mums.

Introduce yourself

Hi, I’m Elle a first time mum to a gorgeous 19-month-old pocket rocket called Eve. My newest adventure is @sillysmessyplay, so come take a peek and get booking 🫶🫟!

On child-free days you’ll find me shopping, at the gym, getting my nails done, or sipping an Aperol (or two!) with friends 🍹or off on a date day with my husband. When I’m in mum mode, I’m a full Type-B tornado doing ten things at once… I like to call it organised chaos 🌪️.

Favourite local business and why?

Even Flow — ☕️the perfect coffee shop. It totally saved my sanity during maternity leave, and on WFH days you’ll usually find me there with an oat cappuccino, people-watching and smashing through my admin feeling very productive 👩🏼‍💻 @evenflowuk

Favourite hidden gem in Tunbridge Wells

The Kiosk Café in St John’s Park. Amazing coffee with just the amount of caffeine (a running theme for me 😂☕️) and they do the best homemade treats 🍰🧁. It’s such a cosy community gem. @thekiosk_tw

What’s your guilty pleasure?

Online shopping. 🛍️ ASOS and Zara have me in a tight chokehold. I order a few bits, return something so I feel sensible, then use the refund to buy… something else. It’s a cycle. At least the charity shops benefit from my clear-outs 🥴.

Best mum hack

Find a mum group that matches your vibe 🪩 ❣️the ones who get you. It keeps you grounded when motherhood feels a bit overwhelming.

And honestly… You can’t be in mum mode 24/7. If help is offered, TAKE IT. Making time for yourself ….even half an hour works wonders for a recharge.
