Meet Nell👋

This week we are chatting to Nell - a creative force of nature, local Tunbridge Wells mum who shares her favourite places around town and the little things that help make mum life easier.
Introduce yourself
I'm Nell, recent Mum of one little 5 month old, the beautiful Erin! I live with my partner Ross and our two cats, Barry and Cobblepot. I'm a community artists and run Arty Farty Retreat - a creative space delivering inspiring workshops for adults and children, Arty Farty Parties, exhibition space, online communities and we even get out to schools, nursing homes and groups too! I also run as a volunteer - Southborough Street Community, TN Arts Festivals, TWells Winter Lantern Parade and The Community Panto. And when I have time I make my own art and sing!
Favourite local business and why?
Oh my goodness! How can I choose?! So many amazing businesses in our area. I love the pancakes at the Earl Grey Tearooms, the pizzas at The Imperial Pub, the fun at Clue Cracker escape rooms and the chocolate from Goupie!
Favourite hidden gem in Tunbridge Wells
The Ridgemont Pavilion - it's the Tunbridge Wells Youth Football Club in Southborough. It's a brilliant community space, with a great bar and a fabulous team running it. They have so many fabulous events there including live music nights. It doesn't look it from the outside, but it's so warm and inviting inside!
What’s your guilty pleasure?
Chocolate digestives (I can eat a whole pack in one sitting) and Disney films. Although actually I don't feel guilty about either of them :)
Best mum hack
I'm soooooo new to this. But tying a helium balloon to Erin's leg has her kicking away and laughing for hours!! I would also say that a steady supply of snacks and having some amazing people around you helps A LOT!
