Lily
Introduce Yourself:
Hi I’m Lily and I’m the owner of @faegeraesthetics. Mum to 3 boys and a big dog lover and u love the gym. I chose to work in aesthetics because I struggled with bad acne as a teenager. I’ve always been creative and a people person so I wanted something which combined the two. I wouldn’t change a thing. I love my job and I have the most amazing clients.
Favourite Local Business and Why?
Ah that’s such a hard one, but I’d have to say @hmconstruction_ltd, we have just done a huge two storey extension and I’ve never had a smoother journey with building than this one, everything has happened quickly and efficiently with as little mess as possible and I haven’t had to think about it at all. And also @paws_on_the_pantiles, our amazing dog walker. We have two large fluffy dopey but lovely dogs who get the best walks from Helen.
Favourite hidden gem in Tunbridge Wells?
My favourite local hidden gem is a business who has recently relocated to Tunbridge wells, dress dreams, for anyone out there about to get married this is your go to place for a wedding dress. They not only have the most incredible dresses but their service is amazing. I have a lot of brides in my clinic getting ready for their big day and they have all had such an amazing experience. I recently went there for my best friend to get her dress and not only was her dress out of this world it was also such an incredible service and made it so special for everyone, they even recently designed Rag n Bone man’s wife’s dress! @dressdreamsbridal
What's your guilty pleasure?
It’s got to be a nice glass of Sauvignon blanc, and I don’t even feel guilty about it. I work hard, parent hard and the remaining time I have left I’m generally helping out with my nieces and nephews, so when we get a chance to see friends and relax with a glass of wine I don’t feel guilty about it.
Katriona
Introduce Yourself:
Hi I’m Katriona, I make bubba & toddler clothes out of preloved & vintage fabrics. I’m a stay at home Mum with a Saturday job & I sew when I can during naps and after bedtime.
Favourite Local Business and Why?
Ruby’s - I went in one day to get out of the rain and asked if they had anything vegan for me and when they replied it was all plant based my jaw just dropped I was so excited! I thought there wouldn’t be much around Tunbridge wells for vegans after being spoilt in London so it’s such a treat to have a fully plant based cafe in my hometown. @rubysoflondon
Ruby’s makes the best cakes I’ve ever tasted in my life, it’s dog friendly with a welcoming team and a savoury menu that changes seasonally to switch things up. Plus I love that you actually see Ruby herself there working on what she’s so passionate about - she’s really inspiring to me.
Favourite hidden gem in Tunbridge Wells
Happy Valley - we found it by accident, such a fun walk with the dogs with the most breathtaking views.
What's your guilty pleasure?
Eating cold baked beans 😂
Best mum hack you'd like to share with us?
To surrender to the chaos and sometimes I ask chat GPT for age appropriate water play ideas.

Alex
Introduce Yourself:
My name is Alex, I’ve just turned 40, and I’m a mum of three — Gus (8) and my six-year-old twins, Teddy and Lola. I have a very busy brain, which both drives my husband Bob mad and (I think!) secretly fills him with admiration. I usually have multiple ventures on the go. I’m the author of three children’s books — Why, Oh Why, Am I a Crocodile?, Insects, Bugs and Rock ’n’ Roll, and Why, Oh Why, Was I Born a Fly? — as well as the audiobook Mrs Claus: The Heart of Christmas. I’m also the author behind the summer event Demelza’s Trail with a Tale taking place in Tunbridge Wells. Aside from this, I run a property development and staging business called Ant and Feather Properties. @demelzacharity
Favourite Local Business and Why?
This is a tough one because Tunbridge Wells is full of great places! As a mum, I’d have to say Langton Pavilion. When I had three children under two, it was my lifeline. The coffee and cakes are lovely, there’s plenty to entertain the kids inside, and outside there’s a huge open space with a playground. It’s a friendly, welcoming spot and perfect for parents. @langtonpavilioncafe
Favourite hidden gem in Tunbridge Wells?
Recently we had a brilliant evening at excellent @mexcellent.tunbridgewells on Camden Road. We’d been for a few drinks around town and wanted somewhere with a good vibe to eat. Usually we’d head to @sopranotapaswinebar , but since we were at the top of town, we wandered past Mexcellent and it was buzzing. The street food was delicious, the music and cocktails were spot-on, and the lady who owns it was warm, friendly, and chatty.
What's your guilty pleasure?
In the nicest possible way, getting away from the kids! I adore them more than anything in the world, but any chance Bob and I get to have time together, we grab it. It’s so important to remember who you were before children, to have the freedom to be silly, and to realise you actually do still really like each other.

Kerry
Introduce Yourself:
My name is Kerry, I am a mum of two gorgeous monsters, Bowie (5) and Nancy (2). We moved to Tunbridge Wells from London just over 3 years ago which was the best decision we could have made for our family. I work part time at a local primary school in the office, which is great for the school holidays! And I manage to sneak a peak at Bowie on occasion which is a real treat!
Favourite Local Business and Why?
It has to be Cantuccio. Hands down the best pizza we have had outside of Italy. We’ve celebrated many an occasion there and have never had a bad experience. @cantuccio_pizza
Favourite hidden gem in Tunbridge Wells?
Not necessarily hidden but a gem none the least… the amazing playgroups around town. Not only are they fab for the kids but I found these were a great way to meet other mums and I was made to feel very welcome especially when we were new to town.
What's your guilty pleasure?
Reality TV – you name it, I’m watching it. The Real Housewives of anywhere, Married at First Sight, Below Deck.. I just love it (my husband not so much).
Best mum hack you'd like to share with us?
Hidden veg pasta sauce! Roast any veg with herbs and seasonings. Once softened add to a pan with some chopped tomatoes. Let cool and then blend. I freeze in blocks and then use them as and when needed - a quick, healthy pasta sauce!

Fiona
Introduce Yourself:
Hi Everyone,
I'm Fiona, firstly I'm Mum to two energy filled girls who are 5 and 2. I've been working with children for the last 23 years. I was a primary school teacher for the last fifteen years, ten of which were spent in London. After having my kids, I retrained as a professional home organiser and have never looked back. I love my job as I get to meet so many types of families in different situations and love helping them and listening to their stories and how they came to book my organising services. I love being outside in our garden, live comedy (Greg Davis being my favourite), TimTams, swimming and I'm also a parent governor.
Favourite Local Business and Why?
@burnbikes located inside @undergroundgymtunbridgewells . Ellie and Dan who run it offer a unique variety of really good spin classes, it's not your regular class but the combination of music and motivation it brings are very welcome after a day with the kids, I go once a week at least.
Favourite hidden gem in Tunbridge Wells?
@kingdom_pen in Penshurst, it is such a beautiful spot with the best cup of tea, in fact the waitress double took when I asked her what tea it was. For reference the brand they serve is @princeteaco also served at @the_pig_hotels and @gilpinhotel.
What's your guilty pleasure?
A massage at @wildiris.flimwell in Flimwell or a child free stroll through the warren that is @jeremyshomestore, so many great storage finds and kitchen pieces.
Best mum hack you'd like to share with us?
Everything is a phase.
Although as parents we know this is true. When we hear this uninvited phrase in that moment when your toddler decides aisle 6 in @tesco is where a paddy shall unfold, it isn't welcome. Read the room.

Steph
Introduce Yourself:
Hi everyone! Thank you for having me Geri. I'm Steph, the founder of High Weald Marketing. I'm a social media mentor, and I love working with creative businesses! If you're not sure where to start with your social media, or at a crossroads, I'd love to chat to you and see how I can help you. My business is interspersed with tales of motherhood - I have a very overexcited-about-life two year old boy called Edward. There are some surprising similarities between marketing and motherhood: who'd have thought chasing him around the room with his trousers would lead me to find a commonality with marketing.
Favourite Local Business and Why?
Hands down - Gymboree. Since Edward was eight months old we have been visiting every Friday, and we both absolutely love it. It is very wearing to keep having to say 'no' to a toddler, but Gymboree is a space I can say 'yes' to him. He can burn off A LOT of energy, learn new words and concepts and just be himself. Perhaps more importantly - its a space where they look after YOU as well - I have cried happy tears, sad tears, exhausted tears and exasperated tears, all in a safe space. @gymboreeclassestwells
Favourite hidden gem in Tunbridge Wells
The Hygiene Bank Tunbridge Wells - this wonderful charity are quietly going about their business, but making an enormous effort to end hygiene poverty in Tunbridge Wells and the surrounding areas. There are drop off points at Gymboree, Nationwide and Boots where you can donate unopened and in date hygiene products and they will donate them to partners in the local area who support the people that need the most help. @thbtunbridgewells
What's your guilty pleasure?
The chef's mistakes in Cook - we have tried all sorts of meals and sweet treats this way! Edward and I tend to pop in before going to Gymboree, and they are always happy to see us. Edward especially enjoyed the 'caaaakkkkkeeeee!' (mince pie taster) at Christmas! @tunbridge_wells_cook

Madona
Introduce Yourself:
My name is Madona. Originally from Georgia 🇬🇪 I’m a mum of two — Milena (4) and Oliver, who turns 2 this September. 💕
I’m passionate about all things beauty, health, and hair. I’m a certified Scalp & Hair Expert helping both men and women transform their hair — and even turn their wash days into income! 💁♀️💸
Also… I’m a bit of a conspiracy theory junkie 👽🛸 so if you love a good deep dive (or rabbit hole), we’ll get along just fine.
If any of this resonates with you, slide into my DMs — let’s chat, laugh, and learn together! 😄✨
Favourite Local Business and Why?
One of my favourite local businesses has to be Debbie @cutztunbridgewells 💇♀️
She’s honestly the kindest, most down-to-earth hairdresser you’ll ever meet. I mean, how many stylists do you know who’d lend you their heated curlers — and not chase you down even a month later when you forget to return them? 😂 Support local. Support good people. 💛
Favourite Hidden Gem in Tunbridge Wells?
Without a doubt — Sofia’s Colombian Kitchen 🇨🇴 She hosts it once a month from her home, and I’ll be honest — I thought it might feel a bit weird or awkward at first… but wow, I was so wrong! If you’re into amazing food, vibrant culture, and a bit of salsa dancing 💃 — this is your sign to book it now.
She’s even ranked #1 on TripAdvisor for a reason. Absolute must-try! 🌟
What's your guilty pleasure?
Not sure if this is classed as guilty pleasure but I like talking to myself in the mirror like I’m on a podcast 😂😂😂 hey, who knows - I might some day 😉
Best mum hack you'd like to share with us?
Best mum back - 📦 Toy Rotation System – Keep some toys stored away and rotate them weekly / monthly — kids feel like they’re getting “new” toys all the time

Naomi
Introduce Yourself:
Hi, my name is Naomi Buff and I am a Transformational Coach & Breathwork Facilitator among many other things in the world of holistic wellness. I have lived in Tunbridge Wells for 2 years and love it here, previous I was in Sevenoaks for 5 years and Monaco for 7 years before that – and I can honestly say this is my favourite place I have ever lived. I have 2 children Ella 21 and Charlie 15 plus a cockapoo called Billy who is the biggest baby of all! I am a single mum (even though only have my son at home now) so juggling a business, being a mum, dog and life is a juggle! I love travelling, all things breathwork and personal development, going to the gym, cooking, learning, laughing, walking, margaritas, and pizza!
Favourite Local Business and Why?
I love @oakleyfitnesstw, it is on my doorstep and I go pretty much every day. The staff and people are all lovely, it is well equipped and I feel very comfortable and at home there, plus they have a great space with a gorgeous stained glass window at the top where I hold my breathwork classes.
Favourite hidden gem in Tunbridge Wells
@club_quantum_ is my favourite hidden gem, I love the décor, vibe, the people and the events especially live music which I am a complete sucker for. The café that is part of the venue @rusticcafe_twells is also amazing and I often go and work from there when I need a change of scenery and get a bite to eat. I also often pop in for a cheeky margarita and to watch some live music at the weekends. And I hire the space for my day retreats as it is so luxurious and gorgeous – it literally is a space that has it all!
What's your guilty pleasure?
Most definitely @cantuccio_pizza with a glass of chianti – oh and I never feel guilty as I love it so much!

Mandy
Introduce Yourself:
In a previous life I was a professional dancer for 9 years. In 2003 I became a full time stay mum to my first son Toby, followed by Charlie in 2008. Many of my friends were still performing, while I found myself in a completely different world. Cooking became my anchor. It gave me a sense of purpose and allowed me to channel my creativity while caring for my family. I realised how important it was to nourish both body and mind through food, especially when balancing the demands of parenthood. In 2017, I took a leap and started sharing my food journey on social media. At first, it was a way to connect with others and offer practical recipes that anyone could follow. The positive response was overwhelming. Families began trying my recipes and sharing their successes, which encouraged me to keep experimenting and sharing new ideas. Social media also taught me a lot about what people wanted from their kitchen. My mission was clear: to show that great food doesn’t have to be complicated. Good ingredients, a little creativity, and a focus on what really matters – flavour and enjoyment – are all you need. Cooking should be a joy, not a chore, and I’m passionate about helping people discover that for themselves. I have dreamt of writing a book for years and finally my debut cookbook Simply Dinners has been published. I could not be more thrilled.
Favourite Local Business and Why?
I have several favourite restaurants, so tricky to choose just one. It’s like picking a favourite child 😆 as I’m friends with the owners. I’m going to mention a very small, but unbelievably delicious business - Cake Blossoms @cake.blossoms.tw Silvia makes the most exquisite handcrafted cakes. Not only do they look classy and beautiful, but they taste divine. I know how much work goes into them, every element is made from scratch. Give her a follow and try her cakes. The bento is a great place to start if you want to sample.

Kerrie Kent
Introduce Yourself:
I’m Kerrie Kent - Artist, Marketeer, Fundraiser and most importantly mum to an 8 year old son. I’ve collaborated with local jewellery maker, Emma Rene @narratorium to create a special collection of gold heart themed pieces. We continue to design new items and each sale generates a 10% donation to the @the_bhf
Favourite Local Business and Why?
I have lots but my go to right now is AllKin, they are currently rebuilding their brewery in Eridge after is was hit by lightening. The determination of Chris & Kat to make something completely unique and inspiring for our community is admirable. @allkinco. Robin & Greta at The Counter are also doing incredible things, their dishes are like art. I’m a big fan! @the_counter_tw
Favourite hidden gem in Tunbridge Wells
Soul Star Sanctuary - Emma Simms is a reiki practitioner, she’s created a peaceful place for like minded people to connect. @soulstarsanctuary
What's your guilty pleasure?
A Gua sha facial with Dot Winter at The Spring rooms, absolute heaven! @thespringrooms
Best mum hack you'd like to share with us?
Not really a hack but I bring my son everywhere I go, he’s learns so much from being in lots of different places from work meetings to painting in my art studio. I’m desperately trying to keep gaming out of his life and limit screen time! It’s a challenge but he prefers to be outdoors playing in nature (for now!).
