HE PIG-at Groombridge Place is no longer going ahead. The main issue appears to have been around planning and listed building consent for some of the key changes they wanted to make to the historic site.

The Pig Hotels have confirmed Groombridge Place is now being sold to a private individual.

Such a shame as so many people were excited to see The Pig come to the area, but it also shows the balancing act between bringing investment into beautiful historic locations and protecting the character that makes them so special in the first place.

The hope of Tunbridge Wells getting its own gorgeous Pig Hotel is still there...One day!!!
