A sad update for Tunbridge Wells food lovers 💔

One of our much-loved local businesses, Mexcellent, has been forced to close its doors with immediate effect after unexpectedly losing its premises.

Mexcellent wasn't just another restaurant. It was a fantastic family-run business that brought something truly special to Tunbridge Wells. From its early days as a food trailer to becoming a popular local restaurant, it built a loyal following thanks to its incredible food, warm welcome and genuine passion for what they did.

The team worked tirelessly to create something unique, and it's always been clear just how much heart and soul went into every dish they served. They became a real part of our local community and will be hugely missed by so many of us.

I'm sure many of you will be just as disappointed as I am to hear this news.

Let's hope they find a new home soon so we can all enjoy their fantastic food again. Wishing the whole family the very best for the future – and thank you for everything you've brought to our town. ❤️
